Grandma
Anna Sardo My life has always been filled with your smiles. Second grade was a while ago. I remember the day we lost you. I was too young to understand. But when my mom took my hand, she explained, “Heaven is where the people of old age go. As beautiful as winter snow. That is where your grandma will be. As simple as a leaf falling off a beautiful tree.” But in my heart to this day. I remember every word my grandma would say. The meatballs she made us on Christmas Eve. The tissue she would put up her sleeve. Because of her, I will always believe That life lasts even after the physical world fades. I’ve known this ever since I was a little girl. |
